yesterday, it's been raining the whole day today and while I hope it's going to get somewhat better again, there ain't so much to do outside right now and I'm getting back to my computer.
As I mentioned earlier, I and Martin had to cut down our travel plans and ended going to Dolomites, Italy for about a week. It was a nice hike. Sleeping among jingling cowbells (and cows of course), high mountains, beautifull sceneries. We spent the last day in Florence, where we visited Uffizi gallery and saw The Birth of Venus (by Botticelli) among other fabulous paintings and sculptures. During the two weeks prior to our trip were Olympic Games and I spent a lot of time watching mostly athletics. That's what my August was like.
September started, summer ended, but the ending was swell. I met a couple of friends for a picnic. Everyone brought some kind of yumminess. Jarda brought brownies and vegetable salad, Terka and Honza fruit salad, bruchettas with salami and tomatoes, Michal asian snacks, Iva and Vašek apple 'štrůdl' and I made apple pie with vanilla sauce and another vegetable salad. Hot tea and coffee were nice too, it was chilly. We played some action games too.
